Bowen for pregnancy, babies and chidren

Gentle body work
The Bowen Technique developed in the 1960s by the late Tom Bowen is an extremely gentle form of body work. This makes it ideal for all stages of pregnancy and for babies and children.

Bowen for pregnancy
The technique has been used with great effect for treating the many side effects of pregnancy such as back pain / problems, structural imbalance, digestive problems / discomfort and is also useful in preparing the body for labor. Furthermore the technique can be used with infertility and to balance hormones.

Baby Bowen
When treating babies and small children I utilise specific procedures known as Baby Bowen. Generally when treating babies and young children less is more, so a session will be half the time of an adult session. I have used Baby Bowen successfully in my practice for a variety of symptoms / difficulties some of these include; birth trauma, feeding difficulties, digestive problems such as colic and sleeping problems.

I find that babies and youngsters respond much quicker than adults to treatment and often significant improvement is seen after a couple of sessions.

Bowen is versatile
There are many different procedures that I can use during a session and I will work with that which best suits the individual at any one time. For example we may need to address your pelvic alignment or work with your hamstrings depending on what you are experiencing. People with all kinds of complaints have used Bowen, complaints such as; sciatica, migraines, infertility, ME, Multiple Sclerosis and other conditions involving the nerves. It has also been particularly useful for structural and joint problems.

I have studied many aspects of health care including; nutrition, anatomy physiology and pathology, and counselling and am also fully qualified in Kinesiology and Reiki. In a therapy session I might also advise on nutrition or other aspects of health that will complement Bowen Treatment.

My lifelong interest in holistic health and self- development led me to train in The Bowen Technique, Health Kinesiology and Reiki & Seichem. I undertake regular Continued Professional Development training (CPD) which enables me to be a full member of the Bowen Association in the UK and Australia. I am also a full member of the Kinesiology Federation in the UK and The Reiki & Seichem Association in the UK.
